The 9.5mm expansion hand reamer slightly enlarges existing holes to achieve the necessary fit and is suitable for repairing valve guides with self-centering action. Made from cold-work high-speed tool steel and tempered to HRC 62±1, it has spiral flutes for a smooth, even cut. This 9.5mm size has a total length of 175 mm and a flute length of 50 mm. Its smooth guide cylinder provides better piloting, while the maximum recommended expansion for diameters from 8 to 10 mm is +0,16 mm.
Expansion hand reamer are often used where it is necessary to enlarge a hole slightly in order to secure the necessary fit.
