The 14.5 mm ball-expansion hand reamer is designed for accurate bore enlargement and correct fit when repairing engine valve guides. Made from high-speed tool steel for cold working and hardened to HRC 62±1, it combines durability with precise finishing. Spiral flutes produce a smooth, even cut, while the smooth cylindrical pilot supports self-centering. Overall length is 200 mm, with a 60 mm fluted section. The ball-operated expansion mechanism allows the working diameter to be adjusted. Maximum recommended expansion is +0.25 mm.
Expansion hand reamer are often used where it is necessary to enlarge a hole slightly in order to secure the necessary fit.
High quality reamer crafted from the Cold work High speed tool steels and tempered for long life (HRC 62±1). Spiral flutes give a smooth, even cut.
