8mm Expansion hand reamer slightly enlarges an existing hole to achieve the necessary fit, with spiral flutes designed to provide a smooth and even cut. It is crafted from cold work high speed tool steels and tempered to HRC 62±1 for long life. For valve guide repair in sizes 6.0 to 14.0, a smooth guide cylinder supports piloting and self-centering action. The maximum recommended expansion for 8 to 10 mm diameter is +0,16 mm. Its 175 mm total length includes a 50 mm flute length.
Expansion hand reamer are often used where it is necessary to enlarge a hole slightly in order to secure the necessary fit.
