The 11.5mm expansion hand reamer slightly enlarges an existing hole to help secure the necessary fit, including during valve guide repair applications. Made from cold work high-speed tool steel and tempered to HRC 62±1, it has spiral flutes for a smooth, even cut. Its smooth guide cylinder aids piloting for self-centering action. For diameters from 7.5 to 11.5 mm, total length is 175 mm and flute length is 50 mm. Maximum recommended expansion for diameters from 10 to 20 mm is +0,25 mm.
Expansion hand reamer are often used where it is necessary to enlarge a hole slightly in order to secure the necessary fit.
