6A2 flat recessed grinding wheel with cubic boron nitride for heavy rough grinding of steel flat surfaces.
Designed for HSS, tool steel and other ferrous materials.

Where it is actually used:

Used for flat surface grinding and sharpening at high stock removal stage.
Typical applications include:

• Initial grinding of HSS inserts and flat tool surfaces
• Heavy reconditioning of worn tools
• Preparation before B126 → B107 sequence

What it actually does:

Aggressive material removal with stable geometry formation.
Removes large volumes of material while maintaining flatness.

Grain size (B151 ≈ 150/125 μm):

• Very high stock removal rate
• Typical Ra ~ 1.0–2.0 μm
• Leaves deep grinding marks

CBN (cBN1):

• Optimized for steel and ferrous materials
• High thermal stability
• No chemical wear like diamond on steel
• Long tool life in steel grinding

In practice:

This is a heavy roughing wheel.
Used before B126 → B107 → B91.
Focus is productivity and fast stock removal.
