Where it is actually used:

Used for flat surface grinding and insert sharpening under reduced load conditions.

• Heavy rough grinding on low-rigidity machines
• Sharpening of thin or vibration-prone tools
• Operations with limited spindle power or heat sensitivity

What it actually does:

High material removal with smoother and more stable cutting behavior.
Reduces grinding forces while maintaining productivity.

Grain size (D126 ≈ 125/100 μm):

• Very high stock removal rate
• Typical Ra ~ 0.8–1.5 μm
• Prepares surface for D107 → D91 sequence
