Straight grinding wheel (Type 1) with black silicon carbide abrasive 54C on ceramic bond.
Designed for grinding cast iron, carbide, ceramics and other hard brittle materials where stable cutting and wheel durability are important.

What it actually does:

Medium-coarse grinding with stable cutting action and controlled stock removal.
Suitable for general grinding, tool sharpening and intermediate grinding operations.

Abrasive type (54C):

54C is black silicon carbide with increased mechanical strength and toughness compared with green silicon carbide grades.

• Higher toughness and impact resistance
• Less brittle than green silicon carbide
• Stable cutting under continuous load
• Suitable for aggressive industrial grinding

Black silicon carbide contains approximately 98% SiC and combines high hardness with improved grain durability.

Grain size (F46):

Medium-coarse FEPA grit for productive grinding with moderate surface finish quality.

More controlled than F24/F36, but still intended mainly for rough and semi-finish grinding.

Ceramic bond behavior:
