Straight diamond wheel (1A1) for rough grinding and high stock removal.
Designed for carbide, ceramics and other hard brittle materials.

What it actually does:

Aggressive material removal with low surface quality.
Used for initial shaping and bulk stock removal before finer grinding stages.

Grain size (D126 ≈ 125/100 μm):

Coarse diamond grit for heavy-duty grinding.

• Very high stock removal rate
• Typical Ra ~ 0.8–1.5 μm
• Leaves deep scratches

Stable in heavy grinding conditions, not sensitive to feed or depth.

In practice:

This is a roughing wheel / Semi-finishing.
Used as the first grinding step before D107 / D91.
Focus is maximum productivity, not surface finish.
