6A2 flat recessed grinding wheel with cubic boron nitride for extreme rough grinding of steel flat surfaces.
Designed for HSS, tool steel and other ferrous materials.

Where it is actually used:

Used for flat surface grinding and sharpening at the earliest stage with maximum stock removal.
Typical applications include:

• Initial grinding of tools from solid steel
• Heavy reconditioning of severely worn tools
• Bulk material removal before B181 → B151 sequence

What it actually does:

Maximum possible material removal with minimal surface control.
Rapid stock removal to establish initial flat geometry.

Grain size (B213 ≈ 212/180 μm):

• Extreme stock removal rate (maximum)
• Typical Ra ~ 2.0–4.0 μm
• Leaves very rough surface with deep scratches

CBN (cBN1):

• Optimized for steel and ferrous materials
• High thermal stability
• No chemical wear like diamond on steel
• Long tool life under extreme load

In practice:

This is a maximum roughing wheel.
Used as the first step before B181 → B151 → B126.
Focus is absolute productivity, not accuracy.
