Straight diamond wheel (1A1) for rough and controlled fine grinding.
Designed for carbide, ceramics and other hard brittle materials.

What it actually does:

Fast material removal with better control than coarser grits.
Used for shaping and transition to finer grinding stages.

Grain size (D107 ≈ 100/80 μm):

Coarse diamond grit for high productivity grinding.

• High stock removal rate
• Typical Ra ~ 0.6–1.2 μm
• Leaves visible grinding marks

More controlled than D126/D151, but still far from finishing.

In practice:

This is a roughing / early fine grinding wheel.
Used after very coarse grits or as a starting point for carbide grinding.
Prepares surface for D91 → D46 → M40 sequence.
