Short Description
1A1 Diamond Grinding Wheel – FEPA M25 (28/20 μm) | B2-01 Bond
Straight diamond wheel (1A1) for semi-finish grinding and surface preparation.
Designed for carbide, ceramics and other hard brittle materials.
What it actually does:
Pre-finishing with moderate stock removal and controlled surface quality.
Acts as a bridge between rough grinding (D46/D64) and fine finishing (M20/M16).
Grain size (M25 ≈ 28/20 μm):
Fine grit at the start of finishing range.
- Removes material faster than M20/M16
- Typical Ra ~ 0.08–0.20 μm
- Good step for stabilizing geometry before fine stages
More stable and forgiving than finer micron grits.
Bond (B2-01):
- Self-sharpening
- Controlled heat generation
- Stable cutting behavior
- Optimized for semi-finish operations
In practice:
This is a pre-finish wheel.
Used after rough grinding to clean geometry before M20/M16.
Works best after D46 → D25 sequence.
Specification:
- Type: 1A1 (straight)
- Abrasive: Synthetic diamond (АСН)
- Grit: FEPA M25 ≈ 28/20 μm
- Bond: B2-01 (resin-based)
- Concentration: 100%
- Body: P (pressed composite)
(Aluminum or Steel on request)
Concentration 100%:
- Stable cutting performance
- Consistent material removal
- Long tool life
- Note: may load under excessive pressure
Body type (P):
- Lightweight construction
- Vibration damping effect
- Improves surface consistency
- Limit: less rigid than steel
Use for:
- Carbide semi-finishing
- Geometry stabilization
- Pre-finishing before M20/M16
- Ceramics / glass
Do not use for:
- Steel
- Heavy rough grinding
- Unstable grinding conditions
